3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Visitors)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK), we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:

  • Performance of a contract – to process your orders, deliver products, and provide the services you request.

  • Legitimate interests – to operate, improve, and secure our Site; communicate with you about our mission; analyze usage; and prevent fraud.

  • Consent – for certain marketing communications, SMS campaigns, and the use of cookies/other tracking technologies where required by law. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your personal information with:

  • Service providers and vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as ecommerce platforms, payment processors, shipping carriers, email service providers, SMS and messaging platforms, analytics providers, advertising networks, and web hosting services. These parties are only permitted to use your information to perform services for us and must protect it appropriately.

  • Business and legal transfers when needed to comply with laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of World Peace Art, our customers, or others.

  • Successors or affiliates in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our assets.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We also do not knowingly “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

5. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Enable core Site functions (such as keeping items in your shopping cart and remembering your preferences).

  • Understand how visitors use the Site and measure performance.

  • Improve user experience and Site functionality.

  • Support analytics and marketing, including showing more relevant content and ads.

We may also use cookies or similar technologies to remember items placed in your shopping cart, including if you leave the Site without completing your purchase. Where permitted by law and with your consent where required, this information may be used to send you cart reminder messages by email, SMS, or other channels.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser or device settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Site.

6. Behavioral Advertising & Analytics

We may use analytics and advertising tools provided by third parties—such as Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other advertising networks—to help us:

  • Understand how visitors use the Site;

  • Measure the performance of our marketing campaigns; and

  • Show ads that may be more relevant to your interests, including on other websites or apps.

These third parties may set their own cookies or use other tracking technologies to collect information about your use of the Site and other websites over time. They may use this information to provide measurement services and to personalize the ads you see.

You can learn more about how Google collects and processes data by visiting Google’s privacy resources. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You may also be able to opt out of interest-based advertising from certain providers by visiting industry opt-out pages offered by organizations such as the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) or the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA).

Please note that opting out of targeted advertising does not mean you will no longer see ads; it means the ads you see may be less tailored to your interests.

7. SMS and Messaging Data

If you choose to opt in to receive SMS or text messages, in-app messages, or similar direct messages from us, we will use your phone number and related consent information to send you:

  • Order updates and shipping notifications;

  • Cart reminders and service messages; and

  • Promotional messages and updates about World Peace Art and World Peace Projects, where permitted by law.

We may share your phone number and messaging data with service providers that help us deliver these messages, including messaging platform providers, phone companies, and vendors who assist in message delivery and tracking.

We will not sell your phone number or share your SMS opt-in status with third parties for their own unrelated marketing purposes.

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by following the instructions in the messages (for example, replying “STOP”) or by contacting us using the information in the Contact Us section below. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy;

  • Provide our products and services;

  • Comply with our legal and accounting obligations; and

  • Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Order information may be kept for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information, or we no longer need it for the purposes above, subject to legal requirements.

9. Your Rights & Choices

A. Marketing Communications

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in our emails or by contacting us using the information below. Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you non-marketing messages related to your orders or important service updates.

For SMS and direct messages, you can opt out by following the instructions in the message (for example, replying “STOP”) or by contacting us.

B. Access, Update, or Delete Your Information

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;

  • Request deletion of your personal information;

  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your personal information; and

  • Receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in the Contact Us section below. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request.

C. Rights of California Residents

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to:

  • Know what categories of personal information we collect and how we use and share that information;

  • Request access to or deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions; and

  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

At this time, we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting that signals to websites that you do not wish to be tracked. Because there is no consistent industry standard for responding to DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them. We will update this Privacy Policy if that changes in the future.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our Site is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

12. International Data Transfers

World Peace Art is based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your country. We take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place when we transfer personal information internationally.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from accidental loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Third-Party Websites & Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, partner organizations, and other platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. When we do, we will post the updated Policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top. Your continued use of the Site after any changes are posted means you accept those changes.
